The Hurt Locker Dominates At Oscars

So my thoughts about last night's Oscar Award ceremony that although it was a couple of minutes late to finish, it was a great night night especially for Kathryn Bigelow and the Hurt locker which took 6 of the 9 awards for the categories it was nominated in.

A few surprises last night in categories for screenplays both original and adapted. For original screenplay I myself thought it would've went to Quentin Tarantino's 'Inglorious Basterds' but went to 'The Hurt Locker' (not bad!) and I was expecting best adapted screenplay to go Up in the Air but went to Precious, I haven't seen that movie yet so I can't stay that it doesn't deserve it. Foreign language and Short film were also a bit of a shocker, critics were expected the Best Foreign Language film to go to either 'A Prophet' or 'White Ribbon' but instead went to 'The Secret in their Eyes' from Argentina. As expected Christoph Waltz got the award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role and Mo'nique won the latter for her role in 'Precious'. Overall this year the best performances were no doubt by the Supporting Actor/Actress and their Best Actor/Actress counterparts for next year should take a few hints from them.

And without further ado, here are the winners for the 2010 Oscar Awards.

Welcome to The Film Scene!

3815870048_8251d58645_bWelcome to my blog, yeah.. there are probably a billion more of these on the internet and this may or may not be one of my brilliant idea, but I decided that because I like to talk about movies I should share that with others. I am not trying to have the biggest movie blog ever but I'd like to try and make it something that keeps readers entertained. I have seen quite a few movies so I hope that what I write is interesting enough to keep you coming back for more.
